9F SQUADRON - Structure

9F (Islington) Squadron is organised & structured into

7 Flights.

Flights are sub-divisons of a Squadron. At 9F each Flight has approximately 12-20 cadets & has a SNCO Flight Commander in charge.

Every Flight Commander has a 2iC (normally a Corporal) who is their deputy (2nd in command) who is tasked to look after cadets in their Flight. The Flight Commander is responsible for every member of their Flight.

A, B, C & D Flights are all regular Flights within 9F.

"R" Flight is the recruit Flight & once recruits pass their basic training they will join a designated Flight.

Our most senior cadet NCO of the Squadron is fondly known as

"The Chief" who is responsible for ALL Flights within the Squadron. All Flights have a designated DS (Directing Staff) who keeps a close eye on the Flight.
